Dr. Aucott gives us a convincing presentation for the evidence that humans are impacting climate both globally and locally in NJ. As per the presentation name, Dr. Aucott helps us to understand in both layman and technical terms how we are impacting our environment and ways we can make a difference, especially in his belief that we can have a real impact in controlling Greenhouse Gases through the creation of a Carbon Tax.

Dr. Mike Aucott has a Ph.D. in environmental sciences from Rutgers University, and works with NJDEP's Division of Science, Research, & Technology. His work includes development of inventories of New Jersey emissions of greenhouse gases and researching potential impacts of climate change on the State. He currently heads up the Trends Team, which is responsible for development and regular updating of measurements and related trends relevant to the condition of the environment in New Jersey. He was a scientist for 27 years with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, where his research included greenhouse gas emission inventories, air pollution, and energy use.
